I am in complete support of this rule change. Currently my understanding is, wholesalers like citadel can see most market orders coming through and use this information to order marginally better prices before a trade hits the lit market.
Imagine if someone was purchasing something online from a small business. Then Google was able to send this information to amazon so amazon could send them a offer for the same item but a slightly lower price. How would this be fair?
This is anti competitive behaviour which gives to much power and data to the current wholesalers in the market.
A rule change like this will give a much more fair price discovery in our lit markets.
