December 28, 2022 The value of the security is paramount when a stock is purchased (invested). Price discovery is what allows the value of the company to to increase or decrease. This rule can be simplified: All buy/sell orders during market hours will occur on lit exchanges after hour or before opening trades my be internalized. This is simple for retail to understand and simple to implement and regulate. Further, and most importantly, it allows for true price discovery for the value of a security during the trading day.
