December 27, 2022 I strongly support this long overdue overhaul in our financial plumbing. Payment for order flow, is a practice that is currently illegal in multiple countries around the world, and should be so in the United States as well. This system creates incentives that go directly against the everyday American retail investor, and is a corrupt system in whole. The ideas of best execution, fair value, and even supply demand lose all meaning in the payment for order flow system.
