As a retail investor, it was a sad surprise realizing any of my orders submitted through a broker could easily be internalized and not have any effect on the price of the security on the open market. This seems that market makers can easily front run retail orders and manipulate the market in their favor. If dark pool internalization can occur, supply and demand is no longer the basic fundamental principle governing our markets. I am in favor of more order competition and this rule.
