Competition is the lifeblood of the markets and is required in capitalist markets to make an even and fair playing field. Currently, there is no competition among 40-50% of market orders as they are going to Dark Markets where two colluders, Citadel and Virtu, are working together to manipulate trades and hide data.
This rule will move orders back to the lit markets and out of the hands of shady dealers who obfuscate, manipulate and shield data from the public.
