I write as an individual investor to support this proposed rule. I believe this rule will help promote efficiency, competition, and price discovery in the markets. Transparency and efficiency are two of the most critical issues investors currently face in the Stock Market, and this rule will help tremendously to reduce this huge inequity. By enacting this rule and having ATS submit detailed disclosures about their operation, the SEC would have more oversight to ensure compliance with these requirements.
Overall, the proposed changes and initiatives by the SEC to increase transparency, reduce conflicts of interest, and promote fair and transparent trading practices align with the interests of household investors and are crucial for creating a competitive market structure that benefits investors and encourages transparency. I implore the SEC to carefully review these changes and read the many letters from passionate investors, and it should not be hard to see it would overwhelmingly favor the vast majority of participants in the market.
