December 29, 2022 Why should big players get a time advantage over retail investors? This rule is ok but does not go far enough. If retail is relegated to a 15 minute difference that is an gigantic unfair advantage given to Wall Street, especially when this rule speaks about milliseconds. All market players, Wall Street professionals and retail, should have access to the same data at the same time. Anything other than that is not a fair and orderly market, anything other than that allows those closest to Wall Street's computer system an unfair advantage. Success in markets should be based on investing skill and practical advantages, not based on the speed of execution. Cap the speed of execution to be the same for retail as Wall Street. This rule does not do enough to protect retail but I guess it's a start.
