The US to be considered the center of the free world and fair markets, order transparency is a must. How can one trust a market if there is no transparency to the market itself? Beyond that, a lack of transparency leaves the door wide open for malicious entities to take advantage of this. Looking through SEC fines, you can see time and time again market participants take advantage of this. When these participants are caught they \"neither admit nor deny any wrong doings\", but also the fines they pay are often less than 1% of the profit made off these misdeeds, often failing to deliver the very stocks they sold and promised to deliver. This leads to simply paying these fines as a cost of business, where the business itself is taking advantage of market structure and individual investors, not to mention AMERICAN TAXPAYERS
Thanks for you time, and for considering full transparency to our markets
