To Whom it May Concern,

I am a retail investor, I am dumb money as the media likes to call me. However. It doesn't take a genius to recognise there is a serious and ongoing decline the quality and value of western society, government and democracy.
This is because of a loss in trust and faith.
The only solution to a loss in trust is transparency. You can see this exact situation playing out right now in America with the elections, and the widespread belief of election rigging (both right and left, direct and indirect).
This could be avoided simply by increasing transparency. This same issue affects the US stock market to an unprecedented degree.
These rules would improve transparency, stability and safety within the markets by enforcing some kind of margin and positional oversight upon the larger players within the market (who ultimately control most if not all price action).

The mere fact the CFTC have extended the No Action period of reporting Swap data for THIRTEEN YEARS and counting is ridiculous. Everyone is kept in the dark as leverage and contagion-potential instability spreads throughout the markets as the greed of banks and hedge funds only grows.
Credit Suisse and the free reign of Archegos to demolish a Systemically Important bank, to the point they're now doing whip-arounds to other banks including the Saudi National Bank just to keep afloat, is just ridiculous.
Why are the American markets so corrupt as to allow one greedy man to hide his bad bets in the shadows until he's put the entire global economy at risk?

We need change. We need transparency. We need to be able to trust our officials and regulators again. You can't close Pandora's box. We, retail, can see the corruption now. You've hit rock bottom. Start climbing back into the light or fade into the shadows of history.

I'm sure China, Russia, BRICS and the Middle East would all be more than happy to see America die. Time's up. You have to choose:

Billionaires or the future of your own children.

Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

Sincerely,

A concerned ape.
