As a CAIAŽ member I wanted to petition that the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst or CAIAŽ designation be included as a qualifying professional designation in the SEC proposal to amend the definition of accredited investors.
The following description is taken from the CAIAŽ website:
"CAIAŽ is the globally-recognized credential for professionals managing, analyzing, distributing, or regulating alternative investments."

Arguably, CAIAŽ is the most relevant professional designation for someone seeking to invest in private markets investments.
