Subject: SEC Proposes to Update Accredited Investor Definition to Increase Access to Investments
From: Dar'shun Kendrick

December 19, 2019

I am a series 65 holder so presumably would fall under the new "accredited investor" definition if adopted HOWEVER, even without this license, I feel as a practicing securities lawyer for over a decade, it makes no sense that because I don't meet the financial requirements, I shouldn't be able to invest in certain vehicles. Please consider a certification or designation such as "direct years servicing the industry" on a case by case basis a possibility.
