I have 9 years of active full time work in the securities profession. I have serviced accounts for as many as 8,000 retail investors.
No one knows how to use Proxy Voting procedures: I don't know how. I've only voted a few times, it's always confusing, and there's a lot of work to do DD on a vote. Most people just ignore them therefore, which seeds all the power to the large investors who can afford lawyers and accountants and staff to figure out what the options you're voting on mean.
It could be way better. Way better. Simpler. Effortless.
