I have been using leveraged and inverse mutual funds for decades and never experienced any issues or suffered any damage caused by these investment vehicles. By banning these products will not reduce investment risk for investors but will take away their choices. The best way to help amateur investors is to offer education and let them learn from their own experiences and mistakes.
