Leveraged funds provide an excellent opportunity for intraday trading, and maximizing returns. The entire market is based on speculation, and it would be extremely unamerican to not allow individual investors to use their money as they wish.
It is not the business of the SEC to protect me or my risk. That is the entire point of the stock market. Every trader for himself. If I choose to take on a wild amount of risk on a trade, I should be allowed to, win or lose. My money is not your business.
