I am hearing that the SEC is considering implementing new regulations for leveraged and inverse funds. I am appalled that anyone would consider something of that nature with the times we are in. I rely on those funds to protect my portfolio, especially in down markets and I certainly do not appreciate being treated like a child who needs oversight or that I am too stupid to make my own decisions. Placing more regulations and making it more difficult to impossible for individuals and their advisors to invest is playing with their ability to maintain and build financial security. Infringing on the free market and commerce is a serious infraction of individuals rights and long standing traditions that could have major consequences in the market and serious repercussions from the public.
