I have been using ProShares Leveraged/Inverse Investment Vehicles for over a decade. They are no different from an individual company stock with beta 2 in fact, they are less riskier because they are pegged to indices because of a higher margin requirement, they also offer some safety cushion. Please, continue to allow investors to educate themselves about these funds and to make informed investment decisions for themselves.
