I under stand that you are considering limiting investors from using leveraged and inverse funds. I think this would be a mistake in that when markets go haywire it is nice to be able to use these funds to offset what the market is doing without having to mess with stocks I already own. A good example is this last two weeks and the coronavirus driving the market down. I bought some inverse funds to protect my stocks that took a hit so I did not need to sell them but counter balanced the stocks drop with the inverse gains. I know these inverse and leveraged funds are not for the long term holding but serve a good purpose when the market goes crazy either up or down so my dividend stocks do not need to be messed with just because of some black swan event that may not last that long. I'd really hate to lose these tools in my trading tool bag.
