I am writing to oppose the SECs proposal of applying new regulations to buy leveraged and inverse funds. I am a personal investor who appreciates the full flexibility to benefit from all types of funds. I fully understand the short and long term behaviors of these type of funds such as SSO, SDS, TQQQ and SQQQ. These funds have helped me outperform the SP without having to work with a financial advisor or other institution. Utilizing these funds in the current environment will help me recoup any losses suffered under the current COVID-19 pandemic. Eliminating the use of these funds will greatly hinder the performance of my portfolio. Any fund should be available to the average personal investor. In my opinion, we shouldnt be limiting funds to personal investors, but rather limit large institutions with massive volume day trading in these types of funds and any type of short-selling.
