buying these funds enable the small guy with less money to try and get a decent return on his investment. Also the inverse funds help protect investment in same way. Why do I need to qualify buying funds that correlate the same indexes used on the nyse. They have a prospectus and the risk is outlined for anybody that can read. No different than buying any equity listed on nyse. I It is always a risk to invest in the stock market
