I am an independent operator who uses inverse and leveraged Mutual Funds to manage my own portfolio capitalized by my own funds. Before investing in leveraged and inverse funds, I do analyze the risk and portfolio mix to achieve the desired risk. I do not wish to be limited, analyzed or qualified to perform these tasks which I consider my own right to invest. Leveraged funds are very important to me and I use them carefully for my own benefit. Education on the risk in the inverse and/or leverage fund I consider as the most important consideration before committing funds to such a vehicle. The inverse and/or leveraged funds allow me to seek enhanced returns as well as protect my portfolio in oscillating market environments. I am fully capable of understanding leveraged and inverse funds and their performance characteristics, and I don't want a third party evaluating my capability to do so and potentially prevent me from buying them. I do want to preserve the long-standing free public markets where operators/investors have the freedom to buy public securities without additional government-imposed limitations on my choice.
