This is an outrageous, egregious attack on investors' rights. Is this the ultimate extension of the "Nanny State" where you have to protect an investor from himself with senseless safeguards? I have invested extensively in these instruments, knowing full well the out sized risks involved. Having been informed repeatedly about the risks, I chose to invest. Once a person is warned, why can't he decide on his own that the risk/reward ratio is warranted? If an investor is warned and loses everything, then Boo Hoo he knew the risks. My rotten brokerage firm already disallows my investing in these instruments. I castigated them for their limit to my freedom as an investor. They, in their infinite wisdom have decided that they don't want their clients to invest in this very risky, volatile instrument. It's none of their business and none of your business to save me from myself. I, therefore, urge you in the strongest terms possible to desist from abrogating investors' freedom to choose their financial future without these absurd regulations.
