I strongly disagree with this potential regulation, as I believe the unintended consequences will affect the free markets. Namely, these securities allow individuals to not only realize enhanced returns, but when used appropriately, to hedge market activity without engaging in trading options. To forbid average investors like myself the right to these securities, it simply provides institutions with more market power as they would have a distinct economic advantage. That within itself is unfair. I am personally aware of the risks, have realized both gains and losses in the securities, and continue to use them to my benefit.

I respectfully ask the SEC to not institute additional controls over these securities, as the inability to utilize these instruments would deprive average investors of highly-valuable investment tools when properly applied to portfolio-specific risks.
