In regard to the SECs attempt to regulate and limit access to Leveraged and Inverse funds.
As an investor in such funds, I do understand the concern and I would agree to occasional alerts and/or warnings to underline the issue the SEC is concerned with. I say this because as will all know, the Free Market drives the economy which, in turn, drives the stock markets and we should keep it this way. Thus, such regulation would not be welcomed. As an investor I use such risky funds as a diversification to my general portfolio and I hope that the SEC will not act. FYI, when I started trading such funds I did get a note about the risk involved and it was my choice (free market) to continue trading.
Thanks for your attention.
