If I cannot buy leveraged and inverse funds to hedge my portfolio I will just buy futures or options. I don't see the merit of preventing me from trading leveraged and inverse funds.
Please do not put extra burden on investors to prove their knowledge and capability when making investment decision. This is absurd.
The essence of US financial market is freedom of choice when investing which the SEC should protect not destroy.
