I am an individual investing in the stock market without help from broker or financial adviser. Inverse funds like the one offered by ProShares are important components of my portfolio. It offered me more versitle approaches to seek enhanced returns. I believe it's an easier product for investor to understand and trade comparing to others such as options. I fully understand the committee's intentions for this proposed regulation, to help manage risks. However such worries are unnecessary in my opinion. The proposed regulations puts unnecessary bars for inverse funds investments and gives third party unprecedented intervening power over the freedom of public market. This proposed regulation can be a very dangerous precedent so I am strongly against it.
