I think this is classic case of miseducation on a product, that due to it's high volatility, caused some negative outcome to some clients. Like anything related to the stock markets, one needs to know what he's doing, and make educated decisions as much as possible. I would put more emphasis on education, than prevent people to use it. Investing in the stock markets need to remain a democratic thing, available to all, risks included.
