I was very disheartened to hear that the SEC is considering restricting or eliminating the chance for the little guy to invest in LI Funds. The thought that I dont know what Im getting into is absurd.
I invest a very small percentage of my money in these funds and I try to see if I can get some very good returns. I live in America where last time I checked we Are free to make our own decisions. Contrary to the governments beliefs, I can make my own decisions. The government needs to stay out of my way and reduce regulations instead of treating us like we live in Russia or China.
My father fought in WWII in the battle of the bulge so we could have the freedom to choose how we want to do things like investing in LI Funds. Dont take this opportunity away from us or even restrict it.
In the Bible, in the parable of the talents, Matt.25:14-30, we learn that we are to increase our investments.
HIS LORD SAID TO HIM, WELL DONE, GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT THOU HAST BEEN FAITHFUL OVER A FEW THINGS, I WILL MAKE THEE RULER OVER MANY THINGS: ENTER THOU INTO THE JOY OF THY LORD.
