The rules under consideration will hamper the freedom of some to invest in certain kinds of funds which they find to be in their best interest.
Personally, I don't need government to protect me from all known risk. I need the freedom to succeed or fail by my own choices.
The current rules have worked for decades and I see no reason to change them now. The effects of unintended consequences from the change are unknown. Some businesses will be hampered or destroyed. Some people will not have the ability to retire without the access to these funds.
