I would never invest my hard earned money on something I do not understand. These funds are not difficult to figure out. Please feel free to pass this along to the SEC.
I always recommend these funds to friends and family just starting out in the stock market because of the 3 X buying power. Also suggesting that as their portfolio grows, to move into less expensive ETFs that do not have the 3x leverage and pay the actual dividends that are the sum of the holdings.
