I am an individual investor who is using leveraged ETFs to do limited position trading.
I perfectly understand their risks and deliberately use them to ride short-termed market or sector trends. I think they are great products and should be available to individual investors with no restrictions as a sensible alternative to using options.

However I agree that individual investors may need to be better educated about those ETFs and should never use them as "buy and hold" types of investments.

Brokerage firms should not put restrictions on using leveraged and inverse ETFs, but instead they should try to provide educational resources and explanation of risks involved in trading these types of ETFs, especially about careful position sizing and monitoring.

As somebody who used these ETFs in the past and who understands their volatile nature and risks, I would not want to be denied their usage in the future.

Thanks.
Vladimir
