I have been investing in leveraged ETFs for 5+ years. I like their enhanced returns and understand the extreme downside they pose in an extremely bad market. I have been investing for the last 40 years and for the last 15 years I have been 100% self managed. I don't like anyone else making decisions with my money, nor interfering with what I invest. So long as people understand what these instruments are, their should be no restrictions nor government intervention. The more freedom there is to invest in these ETFs the more liquid, and that's good for everyone, including the government who who benefit from increased tax revenues.

I assume the SEC oversees these ETFs to make certain they are what they say they are. We certainly don't want another Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC
