As an individual investor, leveraged and inverse funds are a critical component of managing my portfolio. Adding additional regulations and qualifications for access to these funds is a direct attack to all individual investors in an attempt by a government entity to take away a free and public market place and/or to favor large brokerages and fund managers. Leveraged and inverse funds do provide an additional element of risk, however, the decision to assume that risk should be a free decision for all investors to make.
