The proposed regulations unfairly impact investors. Leveraged and inverse funds are an important part of protecting my portfolio and maximizing my returns. I am more than capable of of understanding and using these funds to my advantage and with these restrictions implemented my ability to succeed as an investor would be unduly limited. Investment decisions should ultimately be left in the hands of the investor. Ultimately, only the individual can know what is best for them, and the decision to take or avoid risk should be theirs and theirs alone. We do not need a third party with no vested interest in our portfolios deciding for us what our capability is and whether or not we can invest in the funds we want to.
It is necessary to preserve the integrity of the free market where we investors and our advisors have the freedom to but public securities without government-imposed limitations on our choices.
