Good morning,
I have actively managed my own brokerage accounts for 31 years. I am well acquainted with the risks associated with leveraged funds and have used them extensively for the last several years. I find them to be a valuable investing option when properly managed.
In the future, I would hope that I don't have to justify my ability to successfully invest in such instruments by seeking permission from a third party evaluator, or government overseer. Any investment has risks, and all self managed investors should understand the risks inherent in their investments, or they are negligent. Government shouldn't be involved with protecting investors from themselves. From investment houses, yes. From corrupt company activities, yes. But not from the results of poor choices that are freely made.
Thanks for your consideration.
