As an individual investor with over a decade of leveraged ETF trading experience, I strongly oppose any SEC rulings which would prevent or heavily discourage individual investors from trading leveraged ETFs. I can attest that across three different brokerages my trading privileges granting leveraged ETF access was only granted after thorough scrutiny of my trading history and demonstrated ability to handle leveraged trading and margin access. Because brokerages already protect their traders through granting qualified tier-level trading privileges, SEC rulings restricting leveraged ETFs would create undue burden on the individual investor.
