The ability to buy, sell and hold inverse and leveraged securities allows an individual such as myself to hedge or take advantage of opportunities in the market. Currently my broker, Charles Schwab requires me to sign annually an agreement that I understand how these products work and the risks involved.
I believe additional regulations which could potentially eliminate these products appear to be unnecessary. Eliminating leveraged funds would be similar to discontinuing the use of margin to buy securities as it is a simple form of leverage but Still leverage.
I urge the Members of the SEC to work to expand investment opportunities not limit them and this would urge the SEC to not pass this rule.
