Please do not adopt these new regulations. I have been investing in both leveraged and inverse funds since 2007 and found that they are the best way for me to protect myself from the schizophrenic electronic trading being done these days.
These regulations will place a severe burden on individual investors and may even prevent me from buying them.
Why would you even consider taking away such a valuable tool from an individual investor? Okay, I get it. You want to once again control the individual investor in favor of institutional investors, after all, who cares about individuals, its the institutions that lobby. You give them free rein with very dangerous investment tools that cause complete havoc in the financial system and then limit individuals to expensive, and even more dangerous investment tools like margin accounts and options trading to try to cope with that havoc.
