Leveraged funds are a critical portion of my individually managed investment portfolio strategy for enhanced returns that my 401(k) cannot provide. Utilizing these types of funds allows me to maximize my potential for a secure retirement. I do not want a third party dictating what i can or cannot use in my individual portfolio. My 401(k) already has constraints that inhibit my ability to maximize my returns. Perhaps one potential qualifier for individual investors is to require a minimum account balance when trading in such securities, such as $25,000 average daily balance.
