I have been retired since mid-2006. My pension money and 401k savings are now in IRAs. The investment income which is generated from these accounts is the difference between keeping my head above water or having the retirement I planned. I understand leveraged and inverse funds and have benefitted to the point where they allow me to vacation once a year and maybe a few meals at a ritzy restaurant. I suspect that the bull market will not continue much longer. In that situation, inverse funds and leveraged funds may represent my only chance to keep my head above water. Please don't take away my tools.
