The proposed regulation to have to disclose financial information to purchased leveraged etf's is ridiculous. I started using them 5 years ago soon after I started investing with a small amount of money and have learned to use it effectively as both a way to take a hard bullish or bearish view that or use it as a hedge to collect stock dividend in times of uncertainty. I would not have been able to reap the significant gains I did without them. My 401k is 80% larger with the same contribution in the portion I have managed with leveraged ETF's than my limited option mutual funds. The risks of the leveraged etfs is also clearly stated and viewable by trending the performance against the underlying sector. I do not need the sec to tell me I cannot manage my own risk that can be clearly and easily understood.
