We need to have a voice to speak for our most vulnerable
people. We have made a difference in talking to companies that we own stocks about climate change and funding private prisons
for example. Exxon Mobil agreed to invest in renewable resources and move away coal emissions into our environment
and Wells Fargo committed to moving forward not funding the for profit companies running the detention centers.
We can support companies like Chevron, to be a leader protect
the water so that the people who are at the fenceline
will be protected for the pollution caused by fossil fuel.
We want to work with companies to use their resources to keep all of us living productive lives.
The proposed regulations would diminish our voice and the relationships we have build up with the companies we choose to be stockholders with through our Congregation.
