Rule Comments,
I am writing as a working American, someone who draws a paycheck from my work as a scientist. I also am a "Main Street" investor, someone with some money invested in stocks. I care very much about corporate responsibility -- this impacts my life incredibly. From fair labor standards to environmental responsibility, executive compensation within sane limits to human rights, I, like most Americans, can only thrive when CEOs and corporations are held accountable for any and all irresponsible and/or selfish, greedy actions. I thus depend on shareholder proposals as part of a democratic process that holds corporate CEOs accountable. And so I oppose making it harder for all Main Street investors to file shareholder proposals.
