Rule Comments, I am an individual investor, retired from a position in public education. Both my pension and my, fortunately considerable, life savings are heavily invested in stocks. I am greatly concerned about the power corporations wield in our society and feel that shareholder proposals are one of the few tools that we have as individuals to attempt to bring corporations into line with thinking that benefits society as a whole and not simply the sometimes narrow interests of organizations themselves.
