Rule Comments,
I was a public servant (victim advocate) for 31 years, and I am now living on a pension provided by Ohio Public Employees Retirement. I also hold a small amount of stock in a large company. It is my understanding that shareholders are part owners of the companies in which they hold shares. Has this changed? I am asked every year to vote on issues involving the company in which I own shares. This leads me to believe that, as a part owner, I have - or should have - a voice. Is the SEC now so corrupt that shareholders should be shot through the grease in order to be heard? If that is the case, it seems that Main Street investors should not be able to bother the companies in which they hold shares with concerns like corporate accountability, labor issues, human rights or how much of the rightful fruits of their investments are being sucked up by corporate CEOs. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?
