Rule Comments, I have been an investor in the stock market for nearly fifty years, and I have seen the benefit of shareholder propositions to influencing the Board of Directors. Many companies would not consider it vital to address the effects of climate change, human rights and environmental protection on their corporation if not for shareholder proposals. The corporate board arrangement is already corrupted by having corporate officers and directors for serving on the boards of each others companies, so any movement to weaken or nullify this oversight on the corporate future would be harmful to shareholders.
