Rule Comments,
To Whom It May Concern:
I am a retired person with an IRA invested in stocks and bonds as well as a pension.
Corporate responsibility is very important to me. Corporations have great power to do good, but they must sometimes be prodded. There is significant work to do in the areas of the environment, executive compensation, labor standards, human rights and many other areas.
It is so important that we don't have rules tilted in favor of corporate CEOs. The differential between CEO pay and that of the average worker - this inequality is at the root of so many of our problems in the U.S. today.
I believe it is crucial and only fair shareholders are able to present proposals at company annual meetings.
