Rule Comments,
I am a retiree living on a pension which is invested in the stock market, and also off of proceeds of a portfolio my own consisting of investments both in a number of corporations as well as mutual funds.
I believe that the SEC should ensure corporate accountability through establishing rules that allow shareholders a voice in the direction of a corporation, including through the introduction of shareholder proposals covering labor standards, executive compensation, human rights and the environment.
I'm disturbed to hear that there are proposed revisions to the rules governing corporations that would make it harder for such shareholder proposals to be considered.
I'm asking that these or any similar proposals be rejected.
Thank you for taking the time to hear my concers.
