Rule Comments,
As a retired office clerk who looks to my IRA and investments to provide security in my old age, I am opposed to new SEC rules that would make it harder for ordinary shareholders to submit proposals at annual meetings. Such rules would make it more difficult for "Main Street investors" like myself to make our voices heard and to encourage companies to behave responsibly on social policy issues such as executive pay, human rights, and the environment, and to hold corporate executives accountable for their actions.
