Rule Comments,
I want to log my firm opposition to the proposed change to increase by more than an order of magnitude the share holding requirement to submit a shareholder resolution.
As a working stiff, recently laid off by a company making billions of dollars and hundreds of millions in profit every year, now taxed at much lower rates that allowed a handful of executives to stuff several million dollars each into their own pockets, I am incensed by this proposed change.
The ability to submit shareholder resolutions should NOT be limited to wealthy individuals and institutional investors, the only ones who can afford to own $25,000 of stock in each company they invest in.
There is no reason whatsoever to change the required amount from the current level.
