Dear Sirs,
I demand that your organization act now to protect all investors and not just the ones in the few financial companies that are being protected by the emergency order given yesterday.
"The SEC's mission to protect investors, maintain orderly markets, and promote capital formation is more important now than it has ever been," said SEC Chairman Christopher Cox. "Today's Commission action aims to stop unlawful manipulation through 'naked' short selling that threatens the stability of financial institutions. We will continue our vigorous commitment to investors by working within the SEC and in close cooperation with our regulatory counterparts to promote the continued health and vibrancy of our markets."
The SEC’s failure to the American people has had the opposite effect of the destruction of capital. I am also contacting my representatives in Washington on this matter and am requesting DOJ investigation and intervention into these matters. There is absolutely no reason that the duties that congress and the American people have entrusted the SEC to provide to be so compromised as it has been.
